Playoffs...Preseason....Beat down....Firings....all Happening in NY

New York is the city that never sleeps and it seemed that way yesterday with the New York Yankees and the Red Sox. A day night double header that was just non stop baseball. Two extra inning games the Yankees won the day game and with a chance to clinch the division they lost in the 10th inning in the night game. The Yankees followed that up with a loss on Sunday to the hated Red Sox and the Rays win the division and the Yankees are the wild card. But it is playoff time for the Yankees, and this is where the magic happens and the champions shine.

The New York Knicks played the first preseason game of the NBA today in Italy and won the game 125-113 with the new king of the Knicks Amare Stoudemire's 32 points and 6 rebounds. I am not going to get too excited but watching the game they look good. The brand new center Mozgov that they found looks athletic and Gallinari's shot is looking better than ever. This might be one of the only times this year that I can be happy about the Knicks because they are undefeated and I am staying optimistic.

J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS. I am calling them the best team in the NFL. I am believing in them again and I am confident in what I am watching every week. I know the Buffalo Bills are not very good but we had to running backs run for over 100 yards each. LT is back and the Chargers must be regretting him leave because he is the MVP of the Jets to this day. The Jets destroyed the Bills without their best player Revis sitting out the game because of injury. Last week I was the first person to say that Braylon Edwards should not be playing in the game and when he caught the touchdown pass I was excited, but he looks a lot better since he was arrested. He seems motivated to make up for his wrongdoing and is playing the best football he has played as Jet.

The next bit of news in NY which really isn't news to anyone the Mets have fired their GM as well as Manager. The Mets aren't really close to becoming anything to talk about. The talent is obvious but the heart is what is missing.

The G-MEN have a big game on Sunday Night Football with the ring of honor ceremony before the game the players need to be motivated. Lots of talk in the media are about Tiki's comments and Coughlins job status. Eli knows what he needs to do and will get a huge win I believe on prime time football.
